Pizza from scratch, gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, cruelty free and so delicious!!! It’s so easy, just dice your toppings of choice, make the dough, bake it and ENJOY!!!
Here we go:
Ingredients with their approximate protein breakdown:
Pizza Toppings:
1 Pepper ~1gr protein
150 gr Mushrooms ~3.3 gr protein
300 gr Tofu ~36 gr protein
½ Onion ~0.6 gr protein
100 gr Spinach ~2.9 gr protein
30 gr Fresh Italian Parsley ~0.9 gr protein
Pizza Sauce:
3 Tomatoes ~3.5 gr protein
1 clove Garlic ~0.2 gr protein
1 tsp Olive Oil ~0 gr protein
1 tsp Oregano ~0.2 gr protein
1 tsp Salt ~0 gr protein
1 tsp Basil ~0.2 gr protein
1 tbsp Black Walnuts ~2 gr protein
1 tbsp Coconut Water ~0 gr protein
1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast ~8 gr protein
Dry Ingredients for Dough:
2 ½ cups Almond Flour ~60 gr protein
½ teaspoon Baking Soda ~0 gr protein
½ teaspoon Salt ~0 gr protein
½ teaspoon Garlic Powder ~0.5 gr protein
¼ teaspoon Onion Powder ~0.3 gr protein
½ tablespoon Dry Active Yeast ~2 gr protein
Liquid Ingredients for Dough:
2 tbsp Flaxseed Meal ~3 gr protein
¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil ~0 gr protein
Total protein (entire recipe)
≈ 123 grams of protein!!!
Notes*
– If your tofu is extra-firm, protein gets higher by 35%.
-I used aluminum because I ran out of parchment paper. But avoid aluminum!
Flax Egg Directions:
Combine 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal (or ground chia seeds) with 6 tablespoons of lukewarm water. Stir well, set aside 10 minutes until it looks like eggs in texture.
*Use this in a recipe as an egg replacer.
Directions:
- PREHEAT YOUR OVEN ON 400F.
- DICE ALL THE TOPPINGS. (see ingredients)
- MIX THE DRY INGRIDIENTS. FORM A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE. ADD THE FLAX EGG. (see ingredients)
- FORM A DOUGH WITH YOUR HANDS.
- PUT THE DOUGH IN A BAKING PAN.
- MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA SAUCE. (see ingredients)
- POUR IT OVER THE DOUGH.
- ADD THE TOPPINGS.
- BAKE FOR 1 HR. ( on the bottom oven rack)
- ENJOY.
