Idea 31. Pineapple & Papaya Smoothie. How to Make Papaya Seeds?

Why I love papaya?

Papaya is a sweet, hydrating fruit that’s mostly water, with natural sugars, vitamin C, vitamin A, folate, and digestive enzymes. Its benefits are gentle and nourishing. It supports digestion, immune health, skin health, and it’s easy on the gut.

Papaya seeds, on the other hand, act more like a medicinal spice than a fruit. They’re bitter and peppery, much higher in fiber and fat, and rich in concentrated bioactive compounds. Rather than providing hydration or sweetness, papaya seeds are used for targeted effects, like supporting digestion, balancing gut microbes, offering antimicrobial and antiparasitic action, and aiding liver function. Because they’re potent, they’re meant to be used in very small amounts (1 tsp max) and not continuously. So definitely use those papaya seeds!

Here we go:

Ingredients with their approximate protein breakdown:

  • 1/2 cup Pineapple ~0.4 g protein
  • 1/2 cup Papaya ~0.5 g protein
  • 2 cup Coconut Milk ~2 g protein
  • 1 tsp Papaya Seeds ~0.3 g protein
  • 1/3 cup Frozen Blueberries ~0.4 g protein
  • 1 scoop Protein Powder ~24 g protein (I use Birdman)
  • 1 tbsp Maca Powder ~0.8 g protein
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon ~0.1 g protein
  • 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds ~3.3 g protein

Estimated total protein:
≈ 32 gr protein!

Notes*
-Most of the protein here comes from protein powder & hemp seeds.
-Papaya seeds help break down protein and ease bloating, while their antimicrobial and antiparasitic properties have been traditionally used to promote gut balance. Papaya seeds also show promise in supporting liver health and detox pathways, reducing inflammation, and protecting cells from oxidative stress, with emerging research suggesting potential benefits for metabolic and cholesterol balance.

Directions:

  1. WASH, DRY THEN BAKE THE PAPAYA SEEDS FOR 1 hr, ON 400 f.
  2. BLEND ALL INGREDIENTS.
  3. ENJOY.
