Idea 56. Fast & Easy, High-Protein Salad.

Good morning beautiful busy bees.

I know some days just move fast. Between work, errands, and everything else life throws at you, cooking can feel like a chore you simply don’t have time (or energy) for. That’s why having a few quick, nourishing go-to meals can make all the difference. Meals that don’t require a long ingredient list or complicated steps. Just simple, wholesome food that fuels your body and keeps you going. Because eating well doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it’s as simple as tossing a few good ingredients together and calling it a win!

Today, I’m sharing one of my easiest recipes: a 5-minute salad that’s as nutritious and delicious. It’s packed with protein, full of fresh ingredients, and comes together in no time. Perfect for those moments when you’re hungry, busy, or just not in the mood to cook, but still want to eat something that makes you feel good.

Here we go:

Ingredients with their approximate protein breakdown:

A handful of:

  • Salad Mix ~2 g protein
  • Cherry Tomatoes ~1 g protein
  • Cucumber ~0.5 g protein
  • Mushrooms ~1 g protein
  • Chickpeas ~7 g protein
  • 200 g Tofu ~20 g protein
  • Alfalfa Sprouts ~1 g protein
  • Sesame Teriyaki Sauce ~2 g protein
  • Black Seeds ~3 g protein
Total protein (approx.)

~37 grams of protein!!!

Notes*

-Black seeds are small but incredibly powerful. They’re known for their strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which can help support immune health and protect the body from oxidative stress. Black seeds also aid digestion, support heart health by helping manage cholesterol levels, and contribute to balanced blood sugar. On top of that, they contain healthy fats, fiber, and a modest amount of protein, making them a great addition to meals for overall wellness!

Directions:

  1. Just mix everything in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle the Sesame Teriyaki Sauce and Black Seeds on top.
  3. Enjoy.

If you have left overs, warm those up tomorrow (I prefer the oven, with a cup of coffee), then pour some tahini on that b, and enjoy!
