This parfait is amazing, not only because it’s delicious, but also because it quietly hits a lot of nutrition + energy balance principles at the same time. It’s a well built combo.
You’ve got all three macronutrients:
Carbs → granola + dates + fruit
Protein → yogurt + nut butters
Healthy fats → peanut butter + nut butter
It balances macros, stabilizes energy, delivers micronutrients, keeps you full & tastes so good, you would want to repeat it all the time!!! It also has 27 gr of Protein! You don’t need to eat meat to get your protein.
Here we go:
Ingredients with their approximate protein breakdown:
- 1 cup Granola ~10g protein
- 1 cup Dairy & Sugar Free Yogurt ~8g protein
- 5 Dates (diced) ~1g protein
- 1 tbsp Peanut Butter ~4g protein
- 1 tbsp Nut Butter ~3g protein
- 10 Blueberries ~0g protein
- 5 dried Tangerines ~1g protein (or some other fruit)
Estimated total protein:
≈ 27 gr protein!
