Here is a balanced, plant based wrap, that’s something you can throw in a minute, that’s high in protein, healthy and delicious. For more protein you can add tofu, or eat two! Haha. Someone ate three….🙄
Anyways, for all of the plant based eaters out there, thank you for not contributing to the suffering of farm animals, when we don’t have to. We can be eating a brown lentils power wrap guilt free instead. I love all of you <3
Here we go:
Ingredients with their approximate protein breakdown:
- 1 Tortilla ~2 g protein
- 1/2 cups Brown Lentils ~9 g protein
- 1/2 cups Spinach ~0.5 g protein
- 1/2 Avocado ~1.5 g protein
- 1/4 Cucumber ~0.3 g protein
- 3 Pickles ~0.5 g protein
- 1/4 Onion ~0.5 g protein
- A drizzle Black Pepper ~0 g protein
- A drizzle Hot Sauce ~0 g protein
- A drizzle Mustard ~0 g protein
Total protein (approx.)
≈ 13 grams of protein!
Notes*
-You can add tofu for more protein.
-Brown lentils rank near the top of the plant based protein list among legumes, typically providing about 18 grams of protein per 1 cooked cup! They are among the highest protein legumes, often surpassed only by soybeans.
Directions:
- COOK THE BROWN LENTILS.
- IN THE TORTILLA, PUT ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER IN THE MIDDLE.
- WRAP IT WITH YOUR FINGERS.
- ENJOY.
