Ever wondered how to make an acai bowl? It’s super easy. Basically buy acai pure packets and then you warm them up a little when you are ready to eat them. Add granola, coconut flakes, nuts and fruit (whatever you want). Voilà, done. Super easy, super delicious, super nutritious. AAAAAANNNDDDD TOTALLY PLANT BASED. The healthiest way to go. Here we go:
Ingredients with their approximate protein breakdown:
- 1 Acai Puree Packet ~2 g protein
- 1 cup Granola ~7 g protein
- 1/2 cup Coconut Flakes ~2 g protein
- 1/2 cup Fruit of your choice, I used Blackberry, Blueberry & Dragon Fruit ~1 g protein
- 1/2 cup Nuts, I was in the mood for Walnuts ~8 g protein
Total protein (approx.)
≈ 20 grams of protein!!!
Notes*
-You can do two packets & double the ingredients for a fuller dish.
Directions:
- WASH YOUR FRUIT IN WATER AND BAKING SODA FOR 15 MIN. (washing fruit & veggies in water with baking soda for about 15 minutes can help remove a significant amount of pesticide residue on the skin)
- WARM THE ACAI PUREE PACKET WITH WARM WATER FOR 10 SECONDS, THEN BREAK THE PACKAGE WITH YOUR FINGERS.
- THROW IT IN A BOWL.
- ADD THE GRANOLA, COCONUT FLAKES, FRUIT AND NUT.
- ENJOY.
